Because of you, Hoʻōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long Term Recovery Group (Hoʻōla Maui) is helping Maui wildfire survivors take the next steps toward stability, healing, and home. With the support of volunteers, donors, funders, faith-based groups, nonprofits, local businesses, contractors, and community partners, Hoʻōla continues to serve families through Maui’s long-term recovery.Ho'ōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long Term Recovery Group (Maui's LTRG) is focused on building a resilient community where every Maui wildfire survivor has the resources, support, and opportunities to recover and build a stronger future.

Rebuild Program - Rebuild efforts have helped complete four homes and address two faulty contractor recovery projects. These rebuilds represent more than construction—they help restore stability, dignity, and a renewed sense of belonging for local families returning to their ʻāina. Each home completed multiplies hope throughout the community. Support rebuilding through donated services, materials, contractor discounts, or financial contributions: Contact Rhonda Alexander-Monkres of Hoʻōla LTRG at 808-298-6673 or rhonda@mauilongtermrecovery.org.
The House to Home program: Making spaces into homes - Rebuilding a house is about structure and permits. But making it a home is about comfort, belonging, and daily life restored. Through the House to Home Program, Hoʻōla helps furnish rebuilt homes with essentials—household furnishings, kitchen items, bedding, and items that bring warmth and normalcy back into daily life. These often-overlooked details transform a building into a sanctuary where healing can truly begin. Support Hoʻōla LTRG’s House to Home Program by visiting www.mauiponofoundation.org/waystodonate

There is still a significant need for sponsors, funders, donors, volunteers, contractors, vendors, and community partners as more families move toward rebuilding and returning home.
Mennonite Disaster Service, Cajudoy Construction, Habitat for Humanity Maui, Lahaina Community Land Trust, Honsador, and other local vendors and organizations work hand-in-hand with families to bring homes back to life.
Kaibigan ng Lahaina, Jewish Community Services of Hawaiʻi, Roots Reborn, and ʻOhana Hope Village ensure survivors receive culturally-grounded, trauma-informed support.
The Episcopal Diocese of Hawaiʻi, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, The Salvation Army, Hawaiʻi State VOAD, and United Methodist Committee on Relief collaborate to address critical gaps between programs.
