Ho’ōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is seeking proposals from licensed General Contractors to serve as a 1099 Construction Manager. The selected individual or firm will oversee residential repair and rebuild efforts to support disaster recovery in Maui. This contract position is integral to helping survivors return to safe, sanitary, secure, and functional homes. Must reside on Maui.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in general construction management • Licensed and active General Contractor in the State of Hawai‘i, in good standing • Must carry liability insurance covering all construction projects
• Knowledge of International Residential Code, Hawai‘i State, and Local Building Codes • Experience working with diverse populations, including disaster survivors • Basic computer proficiency and experience with project documentation • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and supervision skills
Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: $8,000/month
Initial Term: 24 months with possible renewal based on performance and funding Location: Primarily field-based work across disaster-affected areas in Maui, with occasional meetings at Ho’ōla LTRG offices
